Golfing Where The Sheiks Play...If You Have To Ask You Can't Afford It

Travis got to play golf at a very exclusive club... it was a once in a lifetime opportunity that he couldn't pass up....the Abu Dhabi Golf Club is open to the public and because oil money built it...as these pictures show....they spared no expense in making it one of the far wests best clubs...Travis said that once he got warmed up he made some great shots...and when all was said and done he beat the other guys for the eighteen holes...He has been working hard to make the armory and weapons section better than he found it and he deserved a little extra treat...I wish I could have been there with him...he said that when he gets home he wants to play on a regular basis...maybe I'll get a chance to play a round or two with him....

His form looks pretty good...maybe he and Kyle can get on the tour with a little more practice...Hey..it could happen.....

Even the golf carts were upscale...how about the range finder in the cart includes GPS for each hole....

The trip was not without it's problems....after they got back to the car they had to fix a flat before they could leave....I think it was a rental....I don't imagine any of the other cars in the lot had any problems...if they did the chauffeurs could handle it....

I found a picture of Uncle Sam's Wife and I thought I would share it with you...How could you resist...If she said "I Want You"...

A "Bee"-u-tiful Halloween...

I'm Baaaaaack.....in the thriving metropolis of Englewood...well maybe not thriving or even metropolis...but still one of the greatest places to be in the fall and winter and if you love the sun and surf without the hassle..this is the place to be....good times and good friends in the sunshine can't be all bad even if the housing market and the local economy is in the dumps....I don't hear anybody complaining or making jokes about the "Snowbirds"...the dollars in our pockets look mighty good to them right now...but more on that later....First I have to catch you up with some great photos of the "World's Cutest Grandchild" ....her first Halloween was celebrated in Rochester New York with her other grandparents and her aunts and uncles....Our little "Bumble" and Mom along with her aunt and puppy made a great looking mini hive and the candy flowed like water at every door....how can you resist with so much "cute" in one spot...

Kelsey my beautiful and smart baby girl is now a proud member of the National Honor Society and I couldn't be prouder...she is the best daughter a father could have and I'm a very lucky man to have her in my life....

Kyle sent me a picture...just one...he promises more but at least we have a start...his golf outing with friends was a good time well deserved and his back swing looks very professional...but he told me that in this picture the ball only went about 20 feet...it sure looks like it should have done better...but I think he was concentrating on how the picture would look instead of where the ball would go...

Just before leaving for the sunny south I had the "Monkmobile" detailed by my nephew..he did such a good job that I thought it deserved a little recognition...Thanks Chris....

One more item before I go fishing...Bumbles other grandfather is the ultimate outdoorsmen and nailed this fantastic buck just a few days into the bow season...nice job Bill....I wasn't lying about the outdoorsmen part he even had an outdoor fishing show at one point in his career....maybe I can get him to come down here and give me a few pointers....

A commercial message...book Two of Monk's War will be available on line and from the publisher the week of November 11th...so place your orders early for Christmas..buy lots and buy often...I think you all will enjoy the stories in book two and I thank all of my fans for their support....
